FOR PEOPLE BUILDING WITH AI

Your AI started servers.
See them. Stop them.

Tools like Claude Code, Cursor and Codex start servers on your Mac while they build, and those can keep running long after the work is done. Rungeist shows every dev server that is running, right in your menu bar, and stops it with one click. Your AI session keeps going.

Your whole stack. One glance.

Three steps, no terminal.

  1. 1

    Build as usual.

Ask your AI tool to build something. To check its work it may start a preview, a database or a test server on your Mac.

  2. 2

    Open Rungeist.

Click the ghost in your menu bar. Every running server is listed under its project, with its port, its memory use and how long it has been running.

  3. 3

    Stop what you don't need.

One click ends the server and everything it started. Your editor, your terminal and your AI session are not touched.

Questions you may have

Do I need to know the terminal?

No. You open, restart or stop a server with a click. If you like the terminal, nothing changes for you.

Will stopping a server stop my AI tool?

No. Rungeist ends the server and the processes it started. Your editor, your terminal and your AI session are not touched.

Does it tell me which AI tool started a server?

No. It shows what is running and which project folder it belongs to, not who started it.

What about local AI models like Ollama?

They are not picked up on their own. Add their port once in Settings, in one click, and they show up like any other server.

What does it cost?

Free for 7 days, no account. After that it is a one-time purchase, no subscription.

Is it made by Anthropic, Cursor or OpenAI?

No. Rungeist is an independent app for Mac. Those names are only here to say which tools you might be using.

Spend less time checking.
